Music Format Change
From time to time in every club the time comes to update the sound moving across the dance floor. Well that time has arrived at Discovery. Most of you have probably noticed the changes in the sounds in the techno room. We adjust our approach to the clubs music based on several variables. Most notably, we follow club trends on a national scale. Currently, through our research, we have found that big clubs are starting to move away from the sounds of slow, grinding, hip hop (some folks may be more familiar with the term "crunk"). In it's place you're starting to hear more upbeat party music. Most of this consists of top 40 and hip hop tracks that have been reworked with more of a dance beat. This is the direction we are going to move in the lobby. Discovery has been ranked the best DANCE club in Little Rock several times over the years and we plan on maintaining that. We are a dance club and in turn need to play the most current dance music.
This will be a gradual change over several weeks. We invite you to come out and check out the new sounds. We also ask that you keep an open mind while we make this transition. Please don't become one of those lame "play something I can dance to" people. Change is good and opening yourself up to new forms of entertainment is never a bad thing.
